Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This conversion runs entirely inside your browser using your own device’s processing power. The file never leaves your computer or phone, which is why it also works when your connection drops.
Why is the MP4 so much smaller than the GIF?
GIF stores every frame as a separate picture with at most 256 colours. MP4 stores only what changes between frames, at full colour.
Will it loop?
MP4 has no loop flag of its own; most apps loop short videos automatically, and a slide or a web page can be set to loop it.
