Almost everything on this site runs inside your own browser. When you compress a PDF, convert a photo, merge documents or extract text from an image, the file is read by your own device, processed there, and handed back to you. It is never uploaded to us, we never receive a copy, and we could not read it if we wanted to.
Three features are exceptions, and they are named below. Nothing else about your files leaves your device.
Audio and video transcription. Speech recognition is far too heavy to run in a phone browser, so the recording you submit is sent to a secure cloud function, transcribed, and returned. The audio is not stored after the transcript is produced. A transcript is saved only if you are signed in and choose to save it to your own library, where only you can read it.
Converting from a link. When you paste a link, our server fetches that URL on your behalf, because your browser is not permitted to. We receive the URL you pasted and the media at it. The media is passed back to you and not retained.
Download links. If your browser blocks a direct download — which happens on some iOS configurations — you may choose to press a button that uploads that one result to private storage so a normal https link can be given to you. This never happens automatically; it happens only when you press it.
We record which pages are viewed, which tool produced a result, and the host name of the site that referred you (for example "google.com" — never the full address). Each browser tab is given a random identifier held in session storage so we can tell one person reading five pages from five people reading one. That identifier is not derived from anything about you, is not a cookie, cannot be linked to any other session, and disappears when you close the tab.
We also record a country, so we know roughly where the site is used. It is worked out from your device's own time-zone setting — for example a clock set to "Asia/Amman" is counted as Jordan — and never from your IP address, which we do not look up or store. This is approximate on purpose: it tells us a country and nothing narrower, and a time zone we do not recognise is left blank rather than guessed at.
We do not record IP addresses, device fingerprints, or anything that identifies a person. This tells us that a page is popular. It cannot tell us who visited it.
When a conversion fails, the site records what went wrong so it can be fixed: the page, the tool, the error message, the type and size of the file, and your browser version. It records the file's type and size — never its name and never its contents.
We also record whether each conversion succeeded, how long it took, and a short description of the kind of file it was: the extension, what the first few bytes say the format really is, the type your browser reported, and a size band such as "under 10 MB". This is how we find out that, say, iPhone photos renamed to .jpg are failing — a problem that is invisible if you only count failures. It describes the file, never you, and the file itself is still never uploaded.
This site is free and is supported by advertising. Where ads are shown they are served by Google AdSense, which is a third party with its own privacy policy and which may set cookies or use device identifiers to select and measure ads. You can review and change what Google uses at myadcenter.google.com and read their terms at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
We do not give advertisers your files, your file names, or anything you convert. They are never sent to us in the first place.
Converted results are kept briefly in your browser's own storage so you can pass a file from one tool to the next without downloading and re-uploading it. This never leaves your device, is capped in size, and clears itself after 24 hours. You can empty it at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Since the tools require no account and collect no personal information from anyone, there is nothing of a child's for us to hold.
If you have never signed in, we hold no personal data about you and there is nothing to request, correct or delete. If you created an account and saved transcripts, you may ask us to delete the account and everything in it by writing to support@oneclickconvert.app. Depending on where you live you may have rights under the GDPR or similar laws to access, correct, export or erase your data; we will honour those requests.
