Will transparency be kept?
Yes. PNG supports transparency, and the converter preserves the WebP alpha channel exactly.
Why is the PNG larger than the WebP?
WebP compresses far more aggressively than PNG. A lossless PNG of the same picture is normally two to five times larger. Choose JPG if size matters more than transparency.
