Convert PSD to JPG

Runs on your device · Your file never leaves your device.

A client sends a PSD, a portal wants a JPG, and nothing on your computer opens it. This page reads Photoshop documents — PSD and the large-format PSB — and flattens them into a JPG on your own device: layer order, opacity, blend modes, masks, groups and layer styles are composited exactly as the document shows them.

Text and smart-object layers come out as they were last rendered, so missing fonts do not matter. CMYK and 16-bit documents are converted to screen colours through their own profile. Set a quality, a maximum width or a size cap if the JPG is going to a form.

The reader is a 3.5 MB engine fetched from this site on first use; the file itself is never uploaded.

How to convert PSD to JPG

  1. Add one PSD or PSB file, or several.
  2. JPG is already selected as the output; set a maximum width if you also want it smaller.
  3. Press Convert. The layers are flattened on your device, exactly as the document shows them.
  4. Download the JPG, or a ZIP for a batch.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This conversion runs entirely inside your browser using your own device’s processing power. The file never leaves your computer or phone, which is why it also works when your connection drops.
Are layers kept?
No — a JPG has no layers. The document is flattened as it looks with every visible layer on, including masks, blend modes and layer styles. Hidden layers stay hidden. Keep the PSD as your editable original.
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas become white. If the transparency matters — a logo, a cut-out — use /psd-to-png instead.
Does it open CMYK documents?
Yes. A CMYK document is converted to RGB through its embedded profile, or a standard coated-paper profile when it has none, so the colours match what the editor showed on screen.
Why does the first file take a moment to open?
The reader for these files is a 3.5 MB engine that is downloaded from this site the first time one of them is opened in a visit, then kept for the rest of the visit. It runs in a background thread of your browser; the file itself is never sent anywhere.
