Change a voice — on your device, never uploaded

Record a clip or drop any audio or video file, pick a voice, and hear the result in seconds: deep voice, chipmunk, giant, robot, metallic, radio, megaphone, echo chamber, slow motion — or an anonymous voice that keeps you unrecognisable in a voice note you would rather not be traced to. Two sliders then nudge pitch (in semitones) and speed independently, so a lower voice does not have to become a slower one.

The effect engine is a browser port of the open-source Voicebox studio’s effect chains — the same reverb (Freeverb), compressor, filters and flanger, with the same preset values — plus a pitch shifter that preserves timing. Everything runs in your phone or computer’s own processor; nothing is sent anywhere, and it works with the connection off. That matters here more than most places: a voice is biometric data.

It works on voice notes from WhatsApp and Telegram (OPUS, OGG, M4A), phone recordings, MP3s, and the audio track of any MP4 or MOV. The output is a normal MP3 or WAV you can send straight back into any chat.

How to use it

  1. Press Record and speak, or choose an audio or video file — voice notes work.
  2. Tap a voice: deep, chipmunk, robot, radio, anonymous and more.
  3. Nudge the pitch and speed sliders if you like, then press Change the voice.
  4. Listen, then download the MP3 or WAV — the file never left your device.

Not for: Cloning or imitating a real person’s voice — this changes how you sound, it does not turn you into someone else.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This conversion runs entirely inside your browser using your own device’s processing power. The file never leaves your computer or phone, which is why it also works when your connection drops.
Can it make my voice sound like a specific person?
No. This tool changes the character of your voice (pitch, timbre, space) — it does not clone anyone. AI voice cloning needs large models and a server, and imitating a real person without consent is not something this site offers.
Will the recording get longer or shorter when I change the pitch?
No. Pitch and speed are separate: a deeper voice keeps its original timing unless you also move the speed slider.
Does the anonymous voice really hide who I am?
It makes a voice hard to recognise by ear — pitch, brightness and texture all change. It is not a guarantee against forensic analysis, and it does not change what you say or the background sounds.
