Frequently asked questions
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The whole job runs inside your browser on your own device. Nothing is sent anywhere, which is why the tool also works with the internet switched off once the page has loaded.
What kind of image works best?
A straight-on photo in even light, with the text filling most of the frame. Crop out anything that is not text before you start.
Can it read Arabic mixed with numbers and English?
Yes. The default mode is Arabic + English, so product codes, dates, amounts and English names inside Arabic text are read too.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Pick the photo from your gallery or take one on the spot; recognition runs on the phone itself.
