This page opens with Arabic recognition selected. Drop a photo of a document, a scanned page or a scanned PDF, and the tool reads the Arabic text out of it, right-to-left, into text you can select, copy and edit.
Mixed pages are the normal case in the Arab world, so the recogniser can also read Arabic and English on the same page: a contract with an English clause, a form with Latin reference numbers, a bilingual certificate. Switch to “Arabic + English” for those.
The recognition engine downloads once into your browser and runs there. The document itself never leaves your device, which matters when the page is an ID card, a bank letter or a medical report.

Frequently asked questions
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The whole job runs inside your browser on your own device. Nothing is sent anywhere, which is why the tool also works with the internet switched off once the page has loaded.
How accurate is Arabic OCR?
On a clean scan of printed text, accuracy is high; on a phone photo taken at an angle, in poor light, or of handwriting, it drops. A straight, well-lit photo of a printed page is the difference between a good result and a poor one.
Does it keep the right-to-left order?
Yes. The output is marked as Arabic so it displays right-to-left in the text box and in the Word file. Numbers and Latin words inside Arabic lines keep their own direction.
Can I get a Word file instead of plain text?
Yes. After recognition, download the result as TXT or as a DOCX that opens in Word, Google Docs or Pages.
Which Arabic fonts and scripts does it read?
Modern printed Naskh-style text, which covers books, forms, letters and most official documents. Decorative calligraphy and Ruq‘ah handwriting are not reliable.
