RAF is Fujifilm’s raw format, from the X-Pro1 and X-T1 to the X-T5, X-H2 and GFX. This page develops RAF files on your own device and gives you JPGs at the quality or size you choose.
X-Trans files are decoded from the sensor data, demosaiced, white-balanced as the camera set it, colour-managed with a profile for the body and matched to the JPEG Fujifilm stores inside the file. RAF from the early FinePix SuperCCD compacts, whose sensor layout is not decoded yet, uses that embedded full-size JPEG instead, and the page says so. Nothing is uploaded.
How to convert Fujifilm RAF to JPG
Add one RAF file or a whole batch from the card or the camera app.
JPG is already selected. Set a maximum width or a size limit if the photo is going to a form.
Press Convert. The raw is developed on your device — this takes up to a minute per file.
Download the JPG, or a ZIP for a batch.

Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This conversion runs entirely inside your browser using your own device’s processing power. The file never leaves your computer or phone, which is why it also works when your connection drops.
Which Fujifilm cameras does it read?
The X-series bodies with X-Trans or Bayer sensors — X-T1 to X-T5, X-Pro, X-H, X-E, X-S and X100 — and the GFX medium-format bodies. An X-T3 file was checked here from the sensor data. Early FinePix SuperCCD compacts (such as the S5600) are read from their embedded JPEG.
Will the colours match Fujifilm’s film simulations?
The result is fitted to the JPEG the camera embedded, which carries the film simulation that was set, so it is close; the simulation itself is not re-applied, and lens corrections are not reproduced.
Compressed RAF?
Fujifilm’s lossless compressed RAF and uncompressed RAF are both read.
Is the camera information (EXIF) kept?
No. The JPG is rebuilt from the pixels alone, so camera model, exposure, date and location are not carried over. For a photo you are about to upload to a form or share, that is usually what you want.
Is there a size limit?
A picture is reduced, keeping its proportions, when it is larger than the memory a browser tab can hold: above about 16 megapixels on a phone or tablet, above 60 megapixels on a computer. Anything below that keeps every pixel.
Why does the first file take a moment to open?
The reader for these files is a 3.5 MB engine that is downloaded from this site the first time one of them is opened in a visit, then kept for the rest of the visit. It runs in a background thread of your browser; the file itself is never sent anywhere.
