Scanned pages come with a wide white border, slides export with a black frame, and a page cropped for the screen is easier to read on a phone. Type the margins in millimetres or per cent, press Auto-trim to have the page content measured for you, and watch the preview: the shaded band is what goes, the outlined rectangle is what stays.
The crop is written into the page box itself — both the CropBox and the MediaBox — so every viewer, browser and printer shows the trimmed page without exception. Nothing is re-rendered: the text stays selectable and searchable, vector graphics stay sharp, and the file does not grow.
Crop every page with the same margins, or select only the pages that need it from the thumbnails. Auto-trim measures whichever pages you chose and keeps the widest content of any of them, so nothing is cut off a page that has more on it than the others.

Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This conversion runs entirely inside your browser using your own device’s processing power. The file never leaves your computer or phone, which is why it also works when your connection drops.
Does cropping delete the content outside the margins?
No — it hides it by shrinking the page box, which is how every PDF crop tool works. The full page can be recovered by enlarging the box again. If the margins contain something that must be genuinely gone, flatten the cropped PDF to images afterwards; that produces a file containing only what you can see.
How does Auto-trim decide where the content ends?
It renders each chosen page and scans the pixels for anything darker than paper, then takes the tightest margins that keep every page’s content visible, with 1 mm of breathing room. Faint scanner noise near the edge can hold a margin open; type a value over it if that happens.
Can I crop different pages by different amounts?
Run the tool twice: crop the first group of pages, download, then load that file and crop the second group. Each pass keeps the earlier crop.
